Join us for a weekend of screenings, talks and discussion on the art of slow cinema and the creative potential of slowing down.

Advance Booking:

The full program will be announced at the end of August but you can ensure you get a ticket by booking your place now!

The program will feature showcases of new short, mid length and feature films by some of the most inovative and exciting artists working in with duration and slowness. There will screenings and talks by pioneers of the medium and screenings of rarely seen films from slow cinema's history.

The festival is an opportunity to connect with fellow filmmakers, curators and enthusiasts in exploring the artistic, political and spiritual possibilities of slowness and duration in cinema. Screenings will be accompanied by Q&As and you are invited to join us for a comunal pizza party before the final screening on Saturday evening (you can pre-order your pizza along with your ticket).

We are thrilled to be holding the festival once again at Good Shepherd Studios in Leytonstone, London. It's a storied building in a suitably liminal spot on the edge of Epping Forest . In the breaks you can choose to socialise, explore Leytonstone or find some solitude in the woods. We are very excited to welcome you on the 5-6 October.

Food will be provided by local sour dough pizza restaurant Papie’s Munchies. the three pizza options are:

Vegetarian 1: The Epping Forest - Tomato sauce, mozzarella, grilled courgette, green chillies, caramelised red onions, gremolata, extra virgin olive oil

Vegetarian 2: Papi’s Special - Tomato sauce, mozzarella, roosted broccoli, balsamic Spanish red peppers, extra virgin olive oil.

Vegan 1: The Epping Forest - Tomato sauce, vegan cheese, grilled courgette, green chillies, caramelised red onions, gremolata, extra virgin olive oil

Vegan 2: Papi’s Special - Tomato sauce, vegan cheese, roosted broccoli, balsamic Spanish red peppers, extra virgin olive oil.
